First pictures, (I hope)
« on: August 02, 2011, 09:13:27 PM »
Well, here goes a try to post some pictures of a couple of games.
French attacking an african village.

A general view of the terrain. French are Dixons, Africans are Foundry, if you can see them.

A steamer run aground. A five sided game with the Europeans trying to save those on the boat, with Africans creating mayhem.
The boat built by Richard Houston and sold by Patrick Wilson of TVCG.
Hope you like them.

That's a great looking set up and some good inspiration for Jungle terrain.

Wonderful terrain and steamboat! What about sharing your order of battle for a five-sided game?
It would be very interesting to read about it!
What ruleset have you used?

Thanks for the kind words about the pictures. I have alot to learn about posting pictures, but the more I do the better I will get.
As for the rules I play The Sword in Africa by Larry Brom. I think of them as The Sword and the Flame lite. Few morale rules in them. Makes for a fast game. These are my all time favorite rules, have played them hundreds of times in the last 30 years.

As for the boat game there was five sides, six if you count the guys on the boat. The sides were French, British, Slavers, Belgiums ( I think every gamer has them, probably more painted wargame figures out there, than real ones in Africa.)  ;) also Pygmies.

Will post more pictures with a game report soon, Also will try to take some closeup photos of the figures.

Great table. And I love the steamboat! Do you have any close-ups of the boat?
