Normandy Terrain
« on: August 03, 2011, 02:25:35 AM »
Would like to share some pictures of my terrain I started making in 2009. Hope you like them. Figures are 25/28mm.

These pictures are not of any one game, but some shots taken of a number of games.

Nice terrain. What rules are you going to use?

Figured I did a poor job on posting  photos, would try again. Can't mess it up much more than I did last time.

What do to think about the last photo? I was trying for a late afternoon or evening shot. Hope I got it right this time.

I noticed in one of the last photos posted, you got the bonus of seeing part of my cat in the picture. I host on Photobucket. When I copied the photo, the cat was not in it. Does Photobucket only show part of the picture? Could anyone enlighten me about this? Thanks.

Hi Skratch,
You asked what set of rules I play. They are a homebrew set I have been messing with for about 6 years. The rules are on two pages, really just play charts. All the details are hashed out with the guys I play with. I like to use them at conventions as they are quick to explain. That way I don't have players argue about this guy cannot do that, or some super tank cannot be knocked out by such
and such weapon. If nothing else I can roll some dice, tell the player the result and get on with the game.
Does that make sense? The funny thing  it works, gives the flavor of WWII, I try to remember the KISS rule.

Oh, very simple home brewn rules for convention demo games. That makes perfect sense. A fun, simple, fast play game is the perfect way to introduce people to certain aspects of the hobby, be it playing, modeling or general interest in a given era in history.

Lovely set up! What a joy to game on it?

Thanks guys for the nice comments.
I lost a ton of photos on my computer,
so don't have a lot of WWII photos.
Will look to see if I have more.
This period is one of my favorites to game.
