Captain Boadicea - aeronef commander
« on: August 09, 2011, 12:18:55 PM »
This is a new release - Captain Boadicea of the Imperial Aero Corps . I'm planning to make some crew soon wearing a similar looking uniform.

I tried to make this figure several times but it just didn't work. I decided to look at WWI and the RFC for inspiration and came up with this outfit. In keeping with that era I decided to give her a 1920' flapper hair style instead of the regulation steampunk goggles. The collar and corset as well as the cane and spyglay sort of throw her back to a pre-WWI time.

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I like her  :)
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Actually, she reminds me of some early imported-to-the-US anime.

I think I could follow her most anywhere. Crickies, I suppose I should be get a ship built; she won't put up with waiting!

Edit: Whoa, I just realized she REALLY reminds me of Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet. ;->= Good thing the coat's not long in back, or I'd be wondering...
