Great report and I like the look of the game.  Many argue that you can't play Napoleonic games without big units as they "don't look right".  Your report  certainly doesn't support that idea.

What rules are you using?

We use our pal Posties own re-hash of a set called General de Brigade. He's simplified some of the rules and added ideas of his own, they work very well and there's lots of Napoleonic period play and flavour, some rules are too complicated, but these are quite easy to pick up and more importantly, a lot of fun to play.
