Sci-Fi Lizardmen, can anyone identify these?
« on: January 27, 2013, 08:01:32 PM »

Does anyone know what manufacturer this is?

And also I am looking for 28mm sc-fi space lizardmen of all sorts, is anyone producing?

I know there is Acheron Creations with a few Saurians and Badger Games who don't want to have a homepage... anyone else?

They almost look like an earlier version of the Judge Dredd Kleggs though I have no idea if there even were earlier versions? That's not meant to be an arsey reply, just a thought!  :)

Any help will be welcome :)

I found them listen on ebay as "generic sci-fi lizardmen" but I did not buy them, since the seller wanted £9 in postage to Denmark.

I am always looking for sci-fi lizardmen and reptilians, I think they is an unnatural few miniatures in that catagory out there...

Foundry do some Klegg as part of their 2000AD range (thoug I can only find this one), and there were also some old Citadel ones from the 1980s.

There's a strange game called 'Impact' (and an expansion called'Impact - Battle for Wolf Ridge') which features futuristic humans and lizardy invaders battling over desert landscapes - it's very odd, as the point is to either move your troops to 'take' opposition figures in close combat (a bit like chess) or to knock them over by firing small missiles from spring-loaded guns; but if you see it in a junk shop, it might be worth having for the figures. They are soft rubbery plastic though so maybe not very easy to customise.

Link to my blog where I compare the size of one of the lizard troopers (there are also some larger lizard-types with rocket-launchers on their sholders) to an Ironclad British Line Infantryman...

Can't find any good shots of it doing a quick google-search, but the boardgamegeek page is here

Oops, sorry, forgot to put that link in.

Thanks.

I knew about the Garn and plan to get some of those at some point.

I have also seen the Goloth before, but anm not completely hooked one those... yet...

The Baggagetrain ones are new to me though and looks pretty interesting :)

About Klegg, I am hoping Mongoose will make a box or at least more then just a couple of them.

The Impact ones are interesting too :)

Keep 'em coming... I think it is often hard to find these on just google search, since most have been given a racial name instead of "just" lizardmen or reptilians.

The lizardmen in your pic are from the early '90s released by Folio Works. They might be Bob Olley sculpts.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Yeah, making a few google searches I see that I have been onto these before, while looking for their Ratten Troops...

I wish someone would bring that High Command line back :(
