Thier figures have more detail and better poses than a lot of 28 mm figures.
The detail on a lot of the vehicles is great too, not just the plastic kits but the resin models are out standing again better than some 28 mm.

this is true, but then GHQ's 1/285th stuff is often incredibly detailed, sometimes more so than many other traders... its all relative!

Hi Rob <secret handshake>

In every scale you have highs and lows, pototoheads and gorilla arms can be seen in any scale, it's indeed all relative. I started doing 20mm due to the avilabilty in kits and easy access of stuff way before Battlefront turned up and something like historical 28mm wasn't available to me in my pre creditcard days.

Some may find 20mm to be a bastard but it gives me the best of both worlds, easy to do big battles, skirmish and everything in between in one scale, so I can focus on just 1 very complete set of scenery, just a few manufacturers etc. I've tried going the way of having multiple scales but for me personally, repeating models in 2 or more scales kills my creativity (and my funds!).

I'm not a firm believer in that a rulesset can only be used for a certain scale, no matter what the publisher says. In the end, we'll be the judge of that, plenty of examples of that around, and it would be foolish to think otherwise.

Anyway, wasn't this topic about the release of a new rulesset? I'd prefer to see some comments about it, and I will add my own when I get back from Ireland.

I have about 300 AFVs in 20mm and the aircraft and infantry to go with them, most of our club also have 20mm! It is a good set of rules, and we have also used it for 1:300!
