Going to Recruits? Do bring and let us (Gauntlet) have a look?  :D]
Yes I am, and I will.
The game seems very small scale, but I noticed they have a variant (Rotted regiments) that might be bigger.

I just shelled out 1200 euro's for tools of my trade, mind they are all suited for miniature work as well, but still can't hurt to hear from others if its any good before shelling out that one mc meal I can afford.  :D

Goldsmith, but I guess I could make some golden teeth should the need arise.

Oh, interesting line of work - and also quite risky nowadays - here goldsmith stores are robbed so frequently that some owners have weapons in their stores, even though it's against the law...

But I digress, here. Back to looking at the teaser-fluff  ;D

Indeed back to a far less dreary topic, pike and shotting zombies!

Now I will freely admit that my historical knowledge is terrible on that age category, but would, say, perry miniatures war of the roses European mercenaries plastics be suited for this? If so starting this should be a breeze, a box of those a box of mantic zombies and a box of ghouls and Zeds our uncle.

They would be too early for TYW stuff, could be some old fellows from the grave though.

Be interesting to do a zombie horde made from all of the plastics on the market - hopolites, romans, barbarians, knights, etc.

Hm, good to know. So what miniatures would be suited for this? and what is the cheapest option, I think we can all agree this game would always be more of a side project then a main thing, cool as it is.

Warlord ECW plastics. Early 30YW-style.

The game is set in the Thirty Years War, but earlier periods should be doable. For War of the Roses, simply eliminate firearms or use the most primitive types. The game has stats for bows and crossbows. I'm not sure Perry mercenaries or War of the Roses plastics would be suitable for zombie conversion with Mantic parts since the Perrys are slimmer than the Warlord TYW plastics. I'll see how the Mantic undead work with Perry plastics when I get my zombies.

I agree that most historical periods could probably be played.

Even Dead walk Again has rules for more primitive weapons, and as it has no points system, because it's also about players cooperating against overwhelming odds, anyway, the existing firearms can just be altered to reflect black powder weapons (or omitted, if you want to go all medieval on the zeds).

Actually, that's a brilliant idea, if I may say so. I'll go about making a list to use for Warhammer/Mordheim models - maybe I can get some more people to play DwA, even though they do not want to do moderns...  ;)

An alternative search chart must be creted, too... hmmm...  o_o

I had to get this when I saw the thread and I have to say the rules look like great fun. I haven't read them in any detail yet but I have high hopes  :D

I love the idea of gaming all manner of Terry Gilliam/Brian Froud-esque weird medieval/rennaissance type material ( I LOVED Mordheim back in the day) so these rules look like complete win from my perspective. I quite like the fact that its all scenario play, much more interesting that way imo.

I also downloaded the first expansion, 'Plague City', which is all scenarios. Great stuff!!

I wonder if I can get the lads here interested... ;D
