Any of you gents familiar with the Comic "Defoe 1666"?

Al Davison is also working on a comic called Blood-Light, which the FPI blog describes as "Oliver Cromwell meets True Blood".  He seems to have cast Lucy Lawless and Pete Postlethwaite in it!

I recently got hold of these myself. I agree that in comparison to some rule sets they require a degree of 'immersion' but given the numbers of player figures in play, I don't see this as a problem, certainly no more so than it would be in Mordheim for example. I've given them a rough overview here. If you play as part of a pretty regular group I can see them having their appeals.

I downloaded plague city during the Halloween hidden pumpkins freebie event. Found my mordheim sprue and allocated 30 mantic zeds to the cause. Christ on a bike only knows when I'll do something with them but hey another proto-project in the bag!

;)

Absolutely - my concerns about the rules-heaviness are also connected to the fact that I don't have a regular gaming-group. I'm going to use it as a 'join and play for the day' game. But I'll still give it a shot, I'll just need some time before the game can be launched, as I have to prepare all the minis involved for the first installment.  ::)

hey Argonor, how many figures are you going to prepare mate? I think I'll do30 zeds (for the moment, with some marker to set them as special zs or not) and 6/8 human imperial survivors. Do you think it's enough? Upgrade will be a gang of civilian survivors and special zeds from various houses (first of all heresy ghoul for scary/leggy zombies).

I think, 30 will suffice - at least for starters - I expect to start by running games in which each player controls 1 survivor, and if the players are not under enough pressure, destroyed zeds can be recycled through spawning points.  >:D

lol seems very funny! The main thing is just to put players under pressure, so it could be a very good idea. You know you have to take and share some pics of your zeds and survivors as soon as possible? lol
btw, this thread is a good place to share "house rules" for P&S&Z...and maybe some scenario, in a near future.

Yes, as soon as I have some finished - but I have another modern zombie project in the pipeline, which has stalled at the moment because of the pressure of having to find a new job - and I really need that one finished before moving on.

And I agree - this would be a good place to stash all info regarding the game, anything people come up with, and, of course, pics from games.
