Still dreaming someone will use this set (or its brother Patriots & Loyalists & Zombies) to play Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Barry Lyndon times*.

Fanmade trailers:

Official trailers for the prequel and sequel books:
(nice visual reference to the Little Riding Hood?)

(for a dinosaur from the age of mechanical typewriters such as me, the very idea of video trailers for *books* is... odd)

*by Barry Lyndon times: because I prefer mid-18th C. fashion and uniforms over early 19th C. ones. Besides, while British High Society was already as proud as prejudiced,
the choice of minis is so wider!

I'm assuming this is just zombies then? no other beasties in the rules?

Only zeds. Various kind of zed but no demons. BTW your project is really cool and I think you could use your fantastic ghoul and inquisitor for this game :)

I see a few of you have given these rules a whirl and was wondering if you thought armour was a bit too powerful?
My understanding is that a zombie only does 1d6 damage in close combat which has to at least equal the survivor's armour value to cause a scratch and beat it by 2 to cause an actual wound.
If a survivor is wearing a buff coat and breastplate that pushes their armour value to 8. This means that a roll of 10 with 1d6 is needed to cause a wound. Sure a critical hit adds an extra 1d6 to the damage BUT most survivors also have multiple wounds! This means that a reasonably well armoured character needs to be hit multiple times with critical hits to be killed by a zombie. ( shooting damage and close combat by a character using hand weapons seems ok due to the ability to do more than 1d6 damage).
Plate armour is basically zombie proof.....!!!!

Any thoughts? Or am I reading the rules wrong?

Same question for me. And I'm still wondering how exactly to play the close combat phase. It isn't so clear in the rulebook.

So the rules sound like they are very questionable. But that was a kick ass bat rep!  :-*

This Indiegogo brought  back memories of this topic: The Curse of The Buxom Strumpet  'a 18th century romantic zombie comedy' (IMDb summary ) .
[the Buxom Stumpet is a *ship* ;)]

('scenes' begin at 158 s.)

Now, Pirettes 'the movie that never was' has yet to materialize, so what about combining the two? :o

Any hints on how many zeds are needed to play the average game?

Per the games suggestions: 2 zombies for each Survivor on the board at the start of the game and then at least one arrival point somewhere on the board that will generate a maximum of 4- 6 zombies per turn depending on how many survivors you start with.

One to three arrival points seems to be the suggested setup so you could need as many as 20 - 30 zombies to cover all your bases.
