Lovely!

These Fimir of yours are turning out superb.
Love the colour scheme. As Doomhippie said; they suit you very well, Sir!

Look forward to seeing what you do with the unit filler, it should work very well in amongst trhose chaps.

Thanks all, most kind. I have high hope for the filler to set the scene as it were.

Its all shaping up very nicely - the tattoos add a nice level of detail too.  8)

Here we have the latest addition to my first fimm unit. As unit fillers go, it was great fun to build and paint, and I think it adds a lot of atmosphere to the unit, as well as a little height. I'm hoping the ravens will match well with the raven on the standard bearer's banner and give the impression of a flock flying over the unit.

Now that, Sir, is bloody lovely!

It should look great in amongst the unit.
You will be sure to post a picture of that combination soon, wont you?  ;)

"Unit filler" is a rather poor description of such a BEAUTIFULLY IMAGINATIVE piece; "center piece" might come closer doing justice to such an inspiring creation. WONDERFULLY WELL DONE!

They all look absolutely bloody brilliant from the conversion work to the paint jobs. Saved pics for reference.  ;)

Utterly stunning - I'd love to face that lot across the gaming table.

I looked at the Forgeworld advert out of curiosity, and am shocked at the price.

To be perfectly honest, I thought they would cost MORE!

I may have missed the boat by some distance here, but have you checked out the experimantal rules mention on the link, Mr Saturday?

Thanks Christian, I had these guys delivered 4 days before release, by some quirk of pre-order! They were cheap by Forge World standards. They are utterly fantastic sculpts, I'm fiending to get to them, but my discipline in finishing the fimm unit is holding despite severe temptation to get side-tracked. At the moment I'm in the throes of doing the standard bearer, should have a pic in the next week or so.

I did see the rules, pretty good in fact. I hear they are making an appearance in the new Warhammer Forge book 'Monstrous Arcana'. I understand it's more beasties for storm of magic, but I'd love it if you could just add them to a regular army. The thing at the moment seems to be allowing a certain amount of points for storm of magic beasts in regular games, which sounds fun.

I read the blurb on the Forge World web but is that really £28 for three? Seems like they are underselling themselves :?

I know, I was very surprised. I hope this trend continues for the future. I'm very tempted by the cursed ettin, it's gruesomely beautiful.
