Hey Frank, question for ya... Do you use the Devlan Mud straight out of the bottle or do you dilute it with water or another medium? We've spoken about your khakis in the past and my problem was that the paint after the devlan mud layer was way to dark for a direct highlight. Obviously I solved that by making my Green Ochre darker, but i was wondering how you do it.

The camel already looks good after the wash! But with the highlights it's simply stunning!

Hi Remington, I use the wash as it is, no dilute or somthing like it. But I always use only a small amount of it. After I have apply the wash I try to spread or remove it if it is too dark.

Fascinating and usefule how-to guide - thank you!  The three pictures look to be passable table-grade, good table-grade and art-grade if each was a final product - really amazing work!
