Reaper Barbarian
« on: August 14, 2011, 07:53:12 PM »
Had a go at a reaper barbarian I had knocking around, fancied a change from ECW and Lord of the rings

Challenged myself to paint flesh a bit more neatly than I have managed before,

pleased with the result even after a mild varnishing problem  ::)

what do you think?

have a few more kicking about which I have cleaned up and I will hopefully add these later...

Nice one  8) I've just dragged this out of the lead pile, thanks to Matakishi's evil mind control. I might copy your colours, I like that brownish hue  :)
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

thank you  :D , I tried really hard with this one, and am very pleased with it.

The colours I used for the loin cloth were scorched brown, vermin or bestail brown, followed by snakebite and a touch of vomit as the final highlight.

I have broadsword adventures so I want to do a few of these reaper minis I have floating around to have a couple of bands.

cheers

VERY NICELY DONE! That's an old favorite of mine; you did a SPLENDID job of bringing him to life. There definitely seems to be a Barbarian trend of late...nice to see it's return in a non-Chaos form.

Thanks all for your kind comments  :D

Funny thing is I painted him without really thinking of the movie hadn't really seen any of the other barbarian threads until I looked last night.

I really enjoyed painting him though

While I'm not crazy about the figure, I think you did an excellent job with him.
