 found another book on the 1896 Matabele Wars by Baden-Powell

his memoires of the event called " The Matabele Campaign" reprint of

the Metheun 1897 original .reprinted in 1970...Greenwood press subsidary

called "N%%ro Universities press". just started to read this fascinating

account. thanks for the inspiration

The African Wars by Chris Peers has a chapter on the Matabeles, thier migration and some details about a few battles with Europeans.  It also touches on thier fighting style and dress.  Hope this helps.

Just got another email from WHSmith saying that now they can't send me the Central African book either!  Grrr. Great timing folks, now the Foundry sale has ended. :(
