Force on Force (now with ruskies)
« on: September 05, 2011, 08:56:20 PM »
I just painted my first 20mm modern soldier.
"Gods own scale" I read somewhere. And what a fun scale to paint.
So without further ado, here is my test piece.

Hopefully many more will follow.

A tutorial on how I painted him can be found here.

ah, snap shooting, in this case the snap would be the rifleman's collarbone!  lol

Nice and dusty paint job  :)

Dammit, you guys are good.  :D

I guess I could have made some prepaint work on them before I spraypainted them. It didnīt look that bad before I started painting so I thougt I could get away with it.
Thanks for the comments.

Maybe if has a brittle bone disease or something. M16s have little recoil.

Is it just me or does it look like the rifle has no magazine?

It got a magazine, its just that I didnīt clean of all the "pour beard" as we say it in Swedish...

Im sorry I just had to translate that expresion, "word to word" as it would sound to funny, and in English that sentence wont make any sense... :D

And as a side note, his friend is painted, they just nead there bases flocked.

I think you may be taking my comment a little too literally  ;)

I could have said that the position and hold are not firm enough to support the weapon, the eye/sight alignment is incorrect, and the weapon does not point naturally towards the target, but it wouldn't have been the same.

lol these are always an indication when it comes to the seriousness of a post

Ahh, but you forget that the gun is in this case made of plastic and some guns are even bent. It take some time getting to lern just your gun but when you do, you will be able to shot around corners...  ;)

Absolutely, and I think in this case there may be no recoil at all :)

I intend to collect modern Russians as my main force. And here is the start of that force.

The models are from Under Fire Minatures.
