The Beast of All *LAM Conventions
« on: September 05, 2011, 11:00:32 PM »
I was thinking just the other day of what if I had the means to press and/or sponsor any game master and his hardware to a games meet whom and ah-what would  I choose ?

I'll start (with the hopes that you'll all participate)...

- Driscoles run NWF game
- Plynkes run WWI East or West Africa Game
- Jonas run Cavemen
- Frank run Colonial Sudan
- Overlord Chicago MA .45 game
- matakishi SF game
- Ignatieff BoB game
- Grimm Chtulu
- Cptn Blood Border Reievers
- cuprum co running with Mark Plant a RCW game ( not for the gaming per se but rather for the high octane squabble)

So what are your thoughts? Keep your own games out of it and no more than ten. List ten or switch one ore more of the above for another.

lol now that, I'd pay good money to see  :)

I think I'd have to include snr Malamute's entire San Antonio set up and a Tex-Mex encounter at full scale   ;)

I'd also like to see one of Admiral Benbow's TYW games. And play in it, dammit!

Having had the pleasure of playing in Vikotnik's Nosferatu in Kiel last year, I can also say that table should be a fixture of honor at any and every lead adventure gathering.

As should Gamer Mac and AndyM's fabulous Zeppelin.

Ah, so many outstanding games. If only we could get them all together somewhere...  ::)

Mind you, we'd need a week to play them all...  :)

And that would mean a lot of beer...

ILAM - International Lead Adventure Meeting, it sounds wonderful especially the bit about the beer and playing all week ;D

I would add Jimbibbly's Samurai castle game, what about Overlord's Geezers and second Vikotnik's Nosferatu and Gamer Mac/Andy M's Zeppelin.

Do you think we could persuade the U.N. to host it?
We could all get to New York couldn't we?  ;)

Great idea. Brigade Games is in New Jersey. I am sure they'd sponsor us all...  ::)

I'd love to play in ANY of the amazing above mentioned games, but this uber convention must be held in Australia.

We are so LAF game starved DownUnder.

Spare a thought for us who can only look and drool, with little chance of ever participating in one of these beauties!

"LAF on the road"

I like it  :D

I would also propose the very fine Nappy game that was posted a week or so ago, I believe by Fugazi.

Also, Millymally's splendid Tex-Mex game  8)

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

When I travelled to GLAM in Kiel last year I was stopped two times by customs. The xray scanner went on a fritz because of the lead I brought. A unexpectedly pretty customs girl was quite interested and a chatted with her abot the Hobby for a bit as she ransacked my case.
