From the parade ground at Horseguards.....

Great paint job - are they your scupts?

Just so you know only SNCOs/Warrant Officers and Highland officers wear the sash over the shoulder, normally officers wear it around the waist with the knot on the left hip.

I suggest you convert this guy into a Regimental Sergeant Major as he would wear an officer's sword with sash over the shoulder - he certainly looks like a veteran.

Modern British military bands still wear the same sort of unifroms so a quick scan around http://www.army.mod.uk/ will square you away.

The figure at the front with sash and pace stick is the RSM. He is not  an officer. Unfortunately you cannot see his rank chevrons in the photo.

The figures are Redoubt Enterprises.

Janner- we are neightbours I live in Teddington :)

Sorry, my incorrect assumption was based on he being at the front and Warrant Officers command from the flank or rear.

Anyway - why not pop down to Old Deer Park one Monday evening - unfortunately you'll have to put up with Soapy as well...

Yes the London Gamers

Started by Soapy, myself and the lads from Gripping Beast. Great club have not been for a long time, but I do miss it so.

I'm in Northolt not that far away,

Janner you will have to pick up some Boltaction Ski Troops for your Finns. Hint hint.. Also sculpted by Richard Ansell.

A local club - how exciting. What games do they play?

Any room for not so serious gothic Horror/ VSF/ Old west shootouts/ Future wars type skirmish games where the emphasis is on fun? :)

It meets every Monday at the StJohns Ambulance "Valeta Hall" in Old Deer carpark in Richmond.

Mostly GW, FOW and WAB, but I'm sure if you have a set of rules and figures they will be open to suggestions.

All the best.

looking to get down to the club for some time. But work keeps getting in the way. Ironic the sculpting of Wargames Figures is getting in the way of playing with Wargames figures  :D.
