Pirates, privateers and marines the Carribean Style
« on: September 10, 2011, 02:59:12 PM »
So, I thought that I would post some pictures of my pirates in a proper enviroment. I am not the best photographer, and will never be, but if required I can take a few new ones with better detail.

My gang... Luise and her motley crew of cuthroats! I should try to get some better pics, since these are supperbly painted by the talented Rob Jones, RJ on the forum :)
Miniatures are: Four A Miniatures, Freebooters Fate Pirate Queen and halfling wich I use as a cabinboy, Black Scorpion Miniatures, Four A Miniatures, Four A Miniatures

Lady Winters henchmen... also painted by RJ (not the dog though, its painted by me I think)
The miniatures are: All Black Scorpion Miniatures

Marines... Pirates of the Carribean style, painted by Alexander, Anatoli on the forum :)
The miniatures are: All Black Scorpion Miniatures eccept the Officer with hook, he is from Four A Miniatures

Seamen gunners with a cannon... the gunners where painted by Anatoli (and the cannon by me)
The miniatures are: All Black Scorpion Miniatures. Cannon is a Empire plastic cannon barrel, with scratchbuilt carriage.

Some details of the whore house...

More whorehouse...

Even more whorehose... with a few models for scale (some pirates for Mordheim painted by me)
The miniatures are: GW Gretchin and a Conversion Lab miniature with GW arms and weapons.

Great stuff, Galland! :-*

Love all the miniatures but paying extra attention to the scenery too.

Must avoid looking at all the pirate goodness, I just do not have the time to be distracted into something else!

One small question;
Where are the palm tree trunks from?

Great pirates, love the buildings in the background.
I think most of us are in the same boat when it comes to taking photos.
I am very new at it, and learn something new everytime I take some.
I look forward to seeing more pirates and terrain.

Heya again

More of the whorehouse... along with the two "Employees of the Month"... Ulrike and Sassa!
The miniatures are: Reaper Miniatures Strupets, painted by a gentleman from the US that wish to be un-named for now.

All houses are scratchbuilt by Kalle and me (including the boat aft in the whorehouse building). I have done all painting on the buildings and terrain (wich also was made by me). Boats are painted by me and are from Games of War wich can be found here: http://www.gamesofwar.net/acatalog/Pirate_Supplies_Store.html#aGOW_2dPS005

All buildings have separate floors with removable roofs, and each floor is decorated with furniture or other equipment.

Nice job so far. I like the Pirates but I understand they are quite big. Are the two ladies much bigger than 28mm as well?
