Very nice work.  I particularly like the scout.  That is going to be an impressive-looking force when you are done.

Having just started some "standard" Perry ansar, I love your conversions.

Welcome to the forum.

Very nice paint job on those Somalis. Your conversions look really good. I have noticed that Copplestones do not make a command pack. Have you converted a figure to use a your armies leader yet?

I just used the standard parts from the Ansar box command sprue to make up a commander, wanted him to look a bit more fancy than the rank and file. Not sure how appropriate he is, images of Somali commander types a hard to find :(

Great work on that conversion.
Its so nice to see all that can be achieved with that box of plastics and some extra work.

Thanks for sharing.

Good point.

These are so good, i'd love to know if the intervening 9 months have brought forth any more of them...

Not to fear more pics on the way soon  :D

Unfortunately a serious illness in the family's put a lot of things on the back burner, but my Somalis are slowly coming along.

They look great! I think the Ansar set is one of the most useful and versatile plastics sets available with many possibilities from ancients to the early 20th century. I'm converting some for 16th century Kongo and they are perfect for the project.
