Wagons, for civilian use?
« on: September 18, 2011, 09:18:30 PM »
Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

I am in the business of purchasing a new wagon for my Lady Winter, and I just cant find any suitable and good looking model for it. I am aware of the Redoubt Enterprises CAN BE FOUND HERE, wich I did order, and reciewed after some issues. The problem with this wagon, is that the one I got, was badly cast, doesnt fit together very well, and above all, some effort was pre-made at the company to remove casting molds. This is utterly unfortunate, since they removed all of the sculpted and textured parts. It was thoroughly grinded down with a machine or some other rather nasty tool. I payed £25 plus shipping for this, needless to say I was not all that satisfied. Hence, this particular wagon is now part of the ever growing parts bin.

So, with all this in mind, are there any other models like this on the market? I would be most greatful for any further assistance in these matters.

I don't know if it still available but GW did one for Mordheim (I've got the driver). The Proff would probably know if you can still get it or not  :)

Thank you for your suggestions. The Mordheim wagon is nice, but doesnt really fit in to what I am trying to achieve. I am looking for a 1600-1700 style wagon.
I will check the Blue Moon one out. Hmm these where not really what I wanted either :(

I am quite sure that I have seen a wagon in the same style as the Redoubt one, just the other day, but cant for my life remember where :S

There is a carriage in the Flintloque line that might work as well.

There is also the plastic Cindarella carriages for wedding cakes that size out OK and are rather cheap.

Thanks James et al. However, as you say, its not really what I want. Man I wish I had bookmarked that damn wagon when I saw it the other day... but as allways, I think that I will get back to that page sooner or later and get it then :/

Trent Miniatures has two wagon, right time period, that might work for you.  One is ladder sided the other is plank sided, both come with four horses.  Available from the UK at Northstar and in the US from Recreational Conflict.

I think what he wants is more of a coach.  Although I saw some Trent stuff I like, so thanks for mentioning them!

Okay, I found the Blue Moon Coach now, I appearantly missed it. Its exactly what I want, same with the Flintloque... however, that cost £100  o_o wich I am not prepared to pay. I have allready ditched £25 down the drain on the first coach, so this is fast becoming an expensive adventure, the Blue Moon one cost $40. Crazy crazy crazy...
I wish someone made these in resin instead of metal. Actually, I might even consider building one my self, cant be that hard, but it would be nice to be able to buy it instead, to save some time.

Blue Moon Miniatures have a coach in their swashbuckling range.

I think they have a whole pile of carts etc. BUT I've some of their resin and it's not the best, so check if they're resin I say.
