House Stark
« on: September 18, 2011, 10:23:29 PM »
Posted some pics of my Game of Thrones conversions in a different topic a few weeks ago but finally got round to painting one of them this evening so thought I'd share some pics. It's converted from a plastic Perry archer, some green stuff and a selection of bits scavenged from a GW warrior of Gondor.

I had initially planned to paint him as Night's Watch but having just read the book I decided I wanted to paint some Starks (plus painting loads of grey is (marginally) more interesting than painting loads of black!)

Comments and suggestions are appreciated!
Thanks

Great idea, very nicely executed.

Might have to try a few of these WOTR / LOTR hybrids for GOT myself...  ::)

Fantastic, I'd love to see more.
Creating full armies for Song of Ice and Fire has crossed my mind for a future project as well.

Nicely done, I've had so much fun using Perry WOTR figuress for conversions I've run out, otherwise i would copy this one shamelessly!
Warriors dreams, summer grasses, all that remains

The freehand on the shield's good.
Are there more to come?

I know he did a few nice men of Dorne that I hassled him to put up. This renewed interest might be the kick he needs. It was a bit of a joint project that Wilkins and I started and then stalled with. His conversions were top notch though, here is a link to a thread we started together with a few WIP he had on the go...

Probably do need to finish them, I really can't just keep buying more figures and starting new projects. Will post some pics of my two men of Dorne this evening if I can get some decent pics (unlikely as I'm using a phone!) Will also dig out the Stark stuff and get on with that too. Thanks for the motivation!

Turns out I have some pictures already on my laptop (already on Photobucket so no excuse really!)

Note the very literal rendition of Sunspear! That may get a repaint...

That's a link to the album on photobucket as there are a few more pictures. All the figures are from Artizan and most have had an arm or hand repositioned as I felt the original pack lacked congruity (some figures look very aggressive whilst others look a bit lazy)

Very nice. For Eddard Stark you can savlage some bis from a Boromir fig.
