Very cool - how stable is it on that small base?  I love the little scene you put up.

Elbows - it is actually surprisingly stable. The base is quite heavy, being made from several steel washers of various sizes, clay and grit, while the vehicle is very light. Also, the rod it is mounted on is thin brass, which flexes and wobbles if knocked, rather than being rigid.
