The Quest for the Ape God Idol
« on: November 20, 2007, 01:52:14 AM »
Ran a .45 Adventure game this past weekend but I do the the lack of a giant spider I subsituted an Ape Guardian and ran a modified version of The Quest for La Calavera Negra De La Luna.

The Heroes:

The Colonel
Special Agent Johnson

The Villians:

Major Strasser
Lt. Braun
Trooper Hans

Neutral Forces:

The Ape Guardian [based on the temple guardian from Death Stalks the Idol of Sobek.

The Board:

The Temple and Idol

Major Strasser and Trooper Hans move forward. Unfortunatly the good Major tripped a deadfall and crushed his legs.

The Colonel hides in cover and waits for the Germans.

Special Agent Johnson Takes the high ground.

Lt. Braun removes Special Agent Johnson from the high ground.

Having dispatched the Germans, the dice were not kind to them, Special Agent Johnson and The Colonel explore the temple and awaken the Ape Guardian.

Special Agent Johnson makes a dash for the edge of the board with the Idol, but due to the wounds suffered from his fall is caught and knocked out.

Heroic to the end, The Colonel picks up the idol and makes it off the board.

It was a lovely little game, despite the fact that my German forces couldn't roll higher than a 4.   The dice seem to hate me.

Hope you enjoyed the photos and report!

Cheers,

That looks like fun!

I'm a big fan of the Heroclix Gorilla Grodd. A nice touch to the game.
