Nice. Those look great. I've only just managed to get a couple from my kid, so not anywhere near painted yet. Did you varnish them to make them a bit more rigid?

Tried that but it doesnt make them any more rigid at all. I just sprayed them black, scrubbed with vmc grey green, drybrushed vmc basalt (gw fortress) and then gave 'em a black wash.
Later i gave them a blast of army painter matt varnish and a bog simple scorched brown base with a bit of javis grass.
Literaly 15 min work but you could take time especialy on the weeping one and make it nice!
Btw, even after painting they are still rubbery but if you havent been too heavy on the paint it doesnt crack.

I have two packs too.......
Just in case I ever need them for......
Ummmm....

They were cheap!

They were cheap. They may also sit beside a pile of cheap plastic daleks for a few years.

I need to get my Black Tree stuff painted. I have one Doctor painted out of the eight BT ones.

Bad me.

and all I have done is a speedpaint on a rubber angel.

We need a head hung in shame emoticon...

Let's not go there.

I have over 50 Black Tree Who figures sitting with probably 4 or 5 painted to a standard I'd post on here. Not a good ratio.

Lets start a new thread with our Dr Who figures? Who's up for it? Could be inspiration to get these all painted.

I'm pleased to say I've practically ran out figures to paint for my DWMG collection. All I've got left is 6 Assault Group modern Brits with bazookas in need of head swaps, a Dalek Sec hybrid on the painting table, and Winnie Churchill and two Tanker Daleks to use in a planned diorama.

I do have nearly 50 iDaleks to paint, but they don't count as I'm planning to use them for larger, platoon-sized games using the No Limits rules and set in the 26th Century Who universe.

I'm not great at taking photo's but I'm happy to take some for a Who thread. I do use a lot of proxies though.
Waiter, my soup is giggling.

I picked up a pack and think they're great for the price. Next week it's a multi pack. 6 each of sontarans, daleks and cybermen.
And what's an i~dalek?

apparently the new model of dalek. My fave is the old Tom Baker style Dalek. But that just dates me....

As JP shows, an iDalek is the type introduced in the 11th Doc story Victory of the Daleks. My personal preference are the Tanker (bronze) Daleks, and when they were replaced by the iDaleks I despised the new design. The fact that DWA has given away iDaleks that are the right size for 28mm games has softened my attitude towards them. :D

Yeah, its amazing how 17 for two quid as opposed to 7 for £20(BTD) made me like them too.
Still, the oldies were better.
Dont get me started on the new theme music... >:(

....actualy, you would have got 136 plastic ones for the price of 7 metal!
Wow.
It shows that they arent a wargaming mag.....
Btw some of the battle packs are still available, issue 230 DWA.
In case anybody missed it.

I would be well up for that Mr Baillie!
I was going to add Dr Who to my zed blog in order to galvanise me. Peer pressure drives painting in my experience.   :D

Okay then. I'll get the camera out and get the thread started. First up will be two old school Daleks and a Dalek Emperor - all Black Tree. Not sure if the Emperor is still available (or even if Black Tree are still able to supply figures at all)!!

Keep an eye out for the new thread!!
