Where are they now?
« on: September 21, 2009, 03:20:12 PM »
Does anyone know what happened to Bish Iwasko? He was a real innovator in the late 60's, early 70's. Produced rules and contributed a lot of inspirational stuff especially around WW2 wargaming.

I've been reading some of his work on the Vintage Wargaming Blog site and he just seems to have faded from sight very quickly. Anyone got any biog update?

Who else has gone to oblivion...Terry Wise? George Gush? Andy Callan?

George Gush hasn't gone to oblivion has he? I'm pretty sure I saw him wandering round at Cavalier in Tonbridge in February...  :?

I've been wargaming for 30+ years, but never heard of Bish. Or don't recall him anyway...

Some of Bish's figures etc got used in photos for one (or more) of Don Featherstone's books too.

Not sure about this one, but I vaguely recall a programme on the "Yesterday" channel about tank restorers where I thought one of the interviewees was called Iwazko. Maybe there's a link.
