15mm Colonials
« on: October 07, 2011, 04:12:20 PM »
Hello Chaps,
I'm looking into doing some 15mm colonial gaming, 1882 Egypt/Sudan stuff mostly. What are people's prefered manufacturers in this scale?

I've some Peter Pig Egyptians, which are good (but like all PP's stuff - open mouths! It irritates me...), and some Minifigs, which I'm not very impressed with. Does anyone know what the 15mm Naismith Design range from NAVWAR is like, or Irregular Miniatures' range? Am I missing any other ranges?

Thanks.
I told you so. You damned fools.

I've got a lot 15mm from around this period...and I love the Minifigs.  The only real stinker is the advancing pose. That pose, used for most all the nationalities, is not good and that can be a big drawback for some.

You may run into some issues on this one...especially for 1882 specifically.

Has anyone got any photos of the Egyptians from this company (are they wearing backpack?)?

My 1882 Egyptians are by Essex Miniatures.

Here's a link to some photos of the Essex range:
