Here's the pics of current painting state. A lot of work still remains, but basic colors and shading are done.

Now I'll finish star details on Captain America, and then make my highlighting. As usual, I'll finish with the details,  faces and black lining.

thank you !

I completed most of Spidey highlights and details. Stills need to highlight a little the head and shoulders, fingers, all egdes oof red parts. Then, I'll have to make the black lining.

I also made some progress on Captain america, but not significant (I'm more preparing last steps, like lining outer limits of the stars, fixing defects, etc...)

to be continued tommorow morning.

Great stuff!

Loving the bases. You have done a good job with them.
I did not realise that Clix figures were so detailed.
Will be watching this thread with anticipation.

Keep 'em coming!

THis morning I made some progress on Captain America :

The shield is done on it exterior face, I made the first black linings, and painted the stars. Still a lot of work, but it's progressing.

Here's the last progress I made today (night pictures a little saturated, can't see the shading work on white parts for exemple) . I'll probably paint a little more tonight. Still need to make the black lining, finish the skin, and stuff like that.

Thanks  !

I'm re-deoing Spiderman's base. I thought it should be better to keep a simplier treatment on it, to match the figure's style more.

I finished Captain America too, working on the base also (it's what made me thinking about repainting spiderman's one, because flat color "worked" better, comparing the two figures).

Pictures soon !

edit : here's some daylight pictures. A little dark I'm afraid, but still more accurate (not the typical saturation I've got when I make pics under my cold light hobby lamp) concerning colors.

A last one under the lamp, to see the details better :

I'm pretty hapy with the result. The fun thing in painting super heroes, is that you always do an "original" paint job, you don't have to paint 20 regiment soldiers the same way. Each figure, a new painting scheme. I like it a lot.

Daredevil is finished too. Same stage than the other ones : Find a way to make a nice base for him, matching the figure style  lol

The figures are finished. Here's some not so good pics (again, oversaturated...Can't see shadings on Captain white parts, weathering on bases, etc...). Daredevil especially was a pain to put on picture (he appeared yellowish orange each time...D*mned automatic camera)  lol But since most of you are miniature painters, you know what I mean  lol

I simplified the bases color scheme, trying to find a way to keep them interesting but not too important considering the main subject. I believe it's working.

Tommorow I'll do better pics if I can...And I'll start new figures too ! Probably 3 super villains to make 2 starter teams.

You have done a superb job of painting these  :-* .

I doubt there are many out there who could have elevated these miniatures as high as you have.

I am not a fan of the minis though...their proportions and poses are, to be frank, dire...but you have made them as good as they can possibly get with your work.

Lovely job :) .

Thank you for your comments ! Especially since I saw your impressive paintings and sculptings !

COncerning heroclix figures, I have to admit...that I like them a lot. Especially once stripped down. They 've got a cartoonish style that I like. It reminds a company making true 25mm figures (can't remember the name), with quite big heads, giving a cartoonish look, not so far that those american famous wood puppets, if you see what I mean ?

Anyway, I like those figs. Especially the first releases. No matter of the proportions, that Captain America is THE typical super hero propaganda icon, with that  so theatral pose.

The next row is a super villain row, Doctor Doom, KingPin and Pyro, and the 3rd painting row will be a ladies painting session...Black widow, Jean Grey, and "I can't remember the name who's look like a werewolf xmen hottie". Female heroclix figures are nice, you'll see  :D

Brings back memories of the Marvel comics I used to read every week. And those three, in particular which you did a damn fine job painting, were at the top of my list of favorites! Thor would have been next...
