Yes I'm a victim of blatant cultural imperialism.  ;)

A youth spent with the old-old school 'Action Men' (G.I. Joe), MASH and Phil Silvers on TV, and watching Pork Chop Hill, Bridges at Toko-Ri, The Hunters, Them! etc on a Saturday afternoon, has left me with an abiding desire to recreate 50's and early 60's US military forces in miniature. Let's face it, the war in Vietnam went downhill once they started wearing baggy jungle fatigues, using Mattel rifles, and stopped using white nametags and t-shirts.
For me it's all MASH's fault. I was a huge fan growing up, I even got the nickname Radar.
The soldiers in the 50s definitely had a much better look! You'd never see them with the sleeves cut off their shirts or Jungian slogans on their helmets...  :-[ Besides, I'll take a Bell 47 over a UH-1 any day!

Isn't there a second set of Soviets?

I wanted to take advantage of the current promotion and fill some gaps in my collection (Boondockers, Soviets and Mexican Villistas also for use in AC57) but can only find one set in the shop...  ???

Yes there was....

I'm guessing they may have slipped through the net when Brigade set up the new website. I'd e-mail Lon and ask, if he doesn't pop by here presently.

If you have purchased the full sets I certainly would be willing to sell additional figures to help you make larger units. But I don't want to part out the packs for every Tom, Dick and Harry, only customers of the actual full packs. It takes just as much effort to cast one figure as a whole pack.

Perhap you could include a check list of the figures in the packs of those figures. Then some one could use it to order more of the individuals that they want.

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

I've bought a few packs from Lon but mainly for other projects, thought about a 50's spin off zombie theme, (a la the great film FIDO) but no chance to do anything like that as yet.

The general concensus is you get out what you put in, so as has been said get those painted figures, scenery and gaming reports up and that will generate interest for others.

Just been on the website and there are a few products where pics are unavailable? Be good to get those links sorted out as no pics = reduced sales.

Another quick question.... how about some free quickstart/stripped out rules (pdf) so people can have a go, get the flavour and then get the buzz? Just a thought.

Good luck all
