Gepanzerte Soldat?

I know, I know! Evil Empire and all that.

But I got some of the Gasmask-and-Helmet Heads from Pig Iron Productions and wanted to try them out - just to see if they would work as Power Armour Soldat for pulpy WWW2 gaming.

What do you chaps think? (and does "Gepanzerte Soldat" actually make sense?   Apologies for my non-existent German language skills!!)

I did something similar some months ago, also with a EE figure. I baptized that chap as "Kraftrrustungtruppen"

Very Panzer Cop!
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Those work really well. Excellent idea.

If you could find a slightly smaller backpack Kurgan, I think it might look better, but it looks proper menacing as it is.

Simply trim off the air vents or whatever they are that stick out of the top of the GW marines pack - surprising how different it makes the mini look.

I'd never heard of Panzer Cop before... I just assumed Commander Vyper's avatar was a WWW2 figure!

Looks cool. I would leave the backpack off or fashion some type of steam like thingy.
I can not believe how cool those heads look on them though!!!

Disclaimer:  I know very little about GW minis.

With that out of the way.  Can you assemble these guys without the gigantic shoulder pads?  They look absolutely awesome with the PI heads, but the shoulder pads are GIGANTIC.

Kurgan's one is a plastic space marine and it can be assembled without the pads. Mine is a metal one and the pads are sculpted in the arms...

Quite true - though on this occasion mine was already assembled when I thought about trying this. I just ripped his head off and greenstuffed the hole in his neck before attaching the Pig Iron Head.

I'll try another without shoulder pads and a cut-down backpack and see how it looks.

Nice idea, and personally I think the shoulderpads look fine.
