Skirmish games involving Kings & Commanders?
« on: November 05, 2011, 07:57:02 AM »
I just read the third (of four) part of Simon Scarrow´s excellent books about Napoleon and Wellington. In the Battle of Eyalu 1807, Napoleon was almost captured by the Russians in the fighting at the town church. Seeing this as an interesting skirmish scenario I wonder what other examples of Royalty or high command that was directly involved in the fighting in the 18-19th century. Any experience or ideas of such scenarios out there?

I have a feeling I read that he was almost captured by Russian cossacks after the Battle of Brienne but I couldn't tell you where I read it. If that is the case it seems he should have been more careful. Twice in three years isn't a great record!
