Worth the wait... Super Dungeon Explore!

Got my copy yesterday (late birthday/early Christmas present from my sister and brother-in-law  ).

Looking good, but models don't come on sprues, loose components are crammed into plastic baggies instead. Given the relative number and complexity of the models, I'm putting mine on hold for a while while I finish some other projects.

While the game looks like tons o' fun, I do agree with some of the negative points raised in some of the online reviews I've seen: The rules are vague and not well organized, the board sections are murky and hard to read, and the lack of institutional support/a dedicated forum from Soda Pop is disappointing (a year over-due now).

Still, great figures (particularly for anime fans like me) and it's nice to see some new characters and monsters in the actual game release that weren't present in the demo version (Druid/Barbarian/Sorceress/Dragons/Ogres/etc.).

As the board sections are quite modest in size, it looks like a dedicated set of purpose-built Hirst Arts terrain pieces would be the way to go. The game does seems to cry out for more expansion monsters (Undead, etc.) and a wider variety of characters is always fun.
