SOTR Comanche's
« on: November 15, 2011, 09:39:52 PM »
Hi guys, thought it was about time I put a picture or two up and contributed to the board rather then lurking.  Here's my somewhat converted West Wind Comanche's.  Yup they're GW power fists before anyone asks  :D
there's still a little bit of work to do but the majority is there.

Where's the 'Like' button? :D

Very cool! Have been trying to think of a way to make the hands look better and I think you've nailed it.

Is that a whirlwind missile pack?

Thanks for the kind words guys, I get too easily distracted to finish anything off completely recently, so these will probably stay at tabletop standard, maybe if I get a few hours sometime I'll finish them off.

Most of the conversion bits came from my bits box which is heavily populated with GW plastics purely because they're easy to convert, I think the missile launcher was from the drop pod.  The .50 cal was made from brass tubes and a bit of putty in the middle with holes drilled in for a heat shield thingy. (technical I know)

Lovely!

Your conversions work really well and, in my opinion, look better than the originals.

Now to show us some more!  ;)

These look really nice. I like the use of the GW power fists. I never would have combined the two together. Job well done.
