I suppose the board is big enough...  You haven´t seen it in build up area version yet. 7 February will see the first old west game on it, I´ll take pictures and then you can decide.

Uber-cool  (don't know how to put the umlaut!)

As a long time model railroader and gamer (much longer with the railroading), this is great.  Unfortunately, I game in 15 mm and railroad in N scale and they are a bit far apart.  I have been adding trains to 15 mm (non-functional).  On the look out for best track source - have one to check out and will see if I've found my solution.

Look forward to seeing a game in place on your train board.

Fram - TT is closest at 1:120 scale with 15 mm being approximately that up to 1:100 for the larger figures (the 17 and 18 mm).  Challenge is that scale is very hard to find outside of eastern Europe and danged expensive. 

I have used N scale trains with my 15s in years past on the smaller is better theory - but that was ACW.  Passable as a "scenic" element but not if you want anything on the one-to-one skirmish level.

RIght now Peter Pig is the best source I know of - wild west and I think the armored train is in the World War One range.  Maybe QRF - Freikorps?  I know they have (had?) track.

Nay, not totally right now. Since Germany is reunified again the former GDR is no longer considered to be eastern Europe. Actually TT was the most popular model railway scale over there and a lot of (east) German manufacturers provided their stuff to the Warszaw Pact neighbours. The scale seems to grow more popular than ever and is easily available from German retailers on the www. Google for Tillig and Auhagen for example...
