Broken Ground
« on: March 29, 2012, 07:27:00 PM »
Hopefully I will have some more interesting things to post in future but thought I'd show this as a starter.
These are a couple of bases of Broken Ground for some forthcoming Saga and similar games.
I'm using the woodland scenic moulds with 'rocks' made using stonecast on mdf boards and some grass and various bits added.

I came, I saw, I went home again..

a good way of making rocks too is to cast up a chunk of the plaster and when it is dry gently break it up with a hammer, gives you more jagged irregular shapes

Looks good. Reminds me of the Rohan terrain in Lord of the Rings, with the sparse grass and white rocks.

Neat, simple and effective. Its little details like these that make a good game into a great game.

this is a great way to use up spare casting and scraped plaster/hydrostone.
Been doing this for a while now.
You have some nice on the spot scenery to use.
life is a journey.
It how you tavel on that journey, that matters.
