Cthulhu in the Colonies

William Walker was a pretty scary and ruthless dude.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Walker_(filibuster)  Though the history books don't say it, he was obviously a Spawn of Yog-Sothoth or something similar.  I got this idea (which I am absolutely certain is true) after drinking o fifth of Johnny Walker, and eating a whole plate of tacos kept me projectile vomiting all night long.

Anyway, what other historical figures might this apply to?  King Leopold?  Henry Stanley?  Sir Henry Bartle Frere?  What if Colonialism was really a Cthulhu cultist plot to destroy the world by creating a state of perpetual war?  I was thinking of throwing this into a VSF game that is kind of dying for lack of direction.

ANy help appreciated.  Just don't try to convince me that William Walker was not a spawn of the Great Old Ones.

In Australia, you'd have to go for Lang Hancock and his daughter Gina Rinehart. Definite Cthulhu material. I'm thinking shapeless nameless horror from beyond space. With mining equipment.
