That French royal party is great!

Loving the map too - adds context to an era I'm not that familiar with!

In the issue #104 of the french wargames magazine [Vae Victis->http://vaevictis.histoireetcollections.com/], I wrote an feudal skirmishes ruleset, a modification to Legends of the Old West.

Here are additional photos of 28mm 13th century minis.

I'm working on it but I have no release date yet.

By the way, I painted Richard Plantagenest, King of England with William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke and his retinue. the knights, men-at-arms and crossbpwmen are Crusader Miniatures from Late Crusaders range.

Very nice miniatures, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread so far!  :-*

I'd be rather interested in seeing your rules translated as well...

To be fair, given that I'd estimate his mounted military household to be over 500 strong and with William perhaps adding at least another 20 knights to that, it might be a bit much for a skirmish game  lol

Absolutely, that is where the Fireforge Templars and serjeants could be useful.

Here is a feudal levy with Crusaders Miniatures from later Crusaders range. I tried to use colours based on Michel Pastoureau, a French specialist in medieval history. He wrote several books on the history of the colours dyeing.

In the issue #106 of the french wargames magazine, I wrote a supplement to my modification of LotOW. It covers the sieges and introduces a new "royal" warband.

Here are some pictures :

P.S. I would like to release a translation next month with the main modifications that I made.

Olivier, that would be great. I have been frustrated at the thought that your mods are only in French. My school time French is from so long ago.  :?  lol
