Empress lancers arrived today, I hope to start them tomorrow. They're considerably smaller than the Redoubt figures (but beautifully formed) so it'll be interesting to see if they look too odd on the table.

Some artillery and Dalton and Reynolds as another command stand for the British. I included Dalton in my Zulu War set at my brother-in-law's insistence, he served in the Logistics Corps and they go on about Dalton's VC a lot :)

More Zulus, this time in full regalia. I'm planning on doing another four units of these.

and the second wagon from Tiger miniatures.

Only the lancers and some pack mules on the painting table now then it'll be time for some group shots.

All basing is a compromise, my bases are the same for everything except jungle, works for me and is ok as a general approximation of groundwork. Other people do it differently of course, many do it better.

Well, here they are, the last figures for my Zulu project, 17th Lancers from Empress Miniatures.

I also did some Britannia mules because you always need mules (I did 3 sets, one is having its base repaired).

I hope to take some shots of everything together tomorrow.
I also hope to buy some more Zulus at Colours in a week's time, enough for another two, possibly four units but these are extra to what I'd originally planned for. I might buy a rocket battery too. Anyway, no matter hwat extras I decide on, the project is officially complete!

Amazing.

I find my self wanting to paint the zulu!  lol

Cracking setup up and I love the whole 'a game in a box' type set up of a project like this with a definite ending.
