Hello,

does anyone know of any websites that have photos of Dutch toops in 1940 or lake 1930s?

Hiya,

I am Dutch and I now how hard it is to find pics. from 40's.
You might try google and type NIOD (Dutch war archive but it will be hard!)
Also on Google type WW2 Netherlands Grebbeberg, this might help.

I've collected a bunch of pictures as inspiration for my first FoW project, which will be a Dutch force in early 1940. I've sent you an email with some of them. If you need more, just let me know; some of them are quite sizeable and don't zip very well, so I can't send them all in one go...

The Dutch tropical uniforms are really interesting, too. The bamboo hats and uniforms colors of the KNIL are very cool. I've often wondered how tough it would be to convert other figures to make a force to fight the Japanese.

Not tough at all. Use Romanians; the Romanian WW2 uniform was all but identical to the Dutch, both in Europe and the KNIL.

Not a web site but Early War Miniatures sell the excellent book "Holland Parrat" which is photos of the 1940 Dutch Army
