Looking for Crazy Koalas
« on: December 17, 2011, 02:39:26 PM »
I can't find any alternative for Crazy Koalas so I need your help. They're small robots from Infinity that act like intelligent mines, following their master and running to intercept anyone who comes too close (here's a picture). Sadly they don't sell spare ones, so I thought I should think of something fun to use instead, maybe with a Japanese theme, but I'm out of ideas.

Nothing like Koalas, but how about the Robo-rodents from Crooked Dice?

Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Reaper has some "toolbots" that would fit the bill rather nicely:

Or the small "xairbot" (that can be ordered alone):

Completely different, but the GW tau gun drones would be a good substitute

Privateer makes a few little robots that burrow into the ground and act as landmines, they're a little goofy and you have to order the bits, but they're poseable to some degree and usually readily available.

Here's a picture:

What about Necron Scarabs?  There are various companies that do 'not' versions of them and they look quite like they could scuttle about and go bang.

You get a Set of Crazy Koalas with every Lunokod Zond, and you can assemble the drone in a way it doesn't use Crazy Koalas. Maybe you'll find a Nomad Player, who is willing to part with his unused Spare Koalas.

Cool, I had never seen most of those before. Thanks, Glitzer, I'll ask some Nomad players first.
