Very nice paintjobs. Did you have to bevel the base yourself, or did they come that way?

The bases are either circular or square, but the flooring is already etched,  These bases have been added to.

What Joroas said.

Integral bases.  Glued the figures to GW style plastic bases then used filler to make a smooth transition.

The figures were supplied to Hasbro (who made the game) with an "antiqued" finish. It's not an ink wash. The finish was applied by a specialist company. First, they were given a shiny, chrome-like coat and then the black not-wash which was applied using a technique similar to silver-plating. It's all a long time ago and the details are vague. I just remember taking the figures literally by the the ton to this company on a beat-up old trailer that threatened to turn over every time the car went over 40 miles an hour.

Happy days.

That's interesting Doug.  Explains why some of the detail had "gone."  Mrs Peacock's face, in particular has very "soft" detail.  Interestingly, which ever company did the first coating didn't bother to remove mould lines.   ::)

However, anyone who likes Copplestone figures won't be disappointed with these, and just because I wanted to paint them as a proper Cluedo set, others don't have to.  As you can see, lots of useful figures there for Pulp and related genres.

Doug - Any plans to get the moulds into production? Folks over on the CD forum would certainly buy some sets!

I really like the figures but for a game I won't play the going price (plus shipping from UK) runs, median, circa $80 on FeeBay.

Especially this close to christmas - double especially after getting about 25 KRmulticase card cases with foam trays (now about 28 strong in total.)

I'd pay "way too much" for the figures (but not $80!) for a very rare use in this niche gamer's collection but I hate wasting games just for some of the components.

Another vote for casting the figures without the games.

Gracias,

Glenn

I would buy a set if they went into production - they are great poses with lots of use.

Very nice.
Beautiful painting.
Thanks for showing them off.
Damn, now I have to go and look for them on e-bay.

I'm gradually finding the various moulds and masters with a view to releasing them - this time without any finish, of course.

I'll have a set. Been thinking about a 3D Cluedo set with additional rules to spruce it up a bit.
Don't!
