Looking for Barsoom for Savage Worlds (I already have Red Sands)
« on: December 23, 2011, 05:41:35 PM »
The Space 1889 version of SW is quite nice, but I like Barsoom, and have a lot of minis for that period.

Does anyone have a set of (homegrown or not) rules for Barsoomian stuff for this system?

As always,  thanks.

The Savage Worlds setting "Mars" should be a pretty close fit.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Yep, Mars is pretty close to the Barsoom setting.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Yep, Mars is pretty close to the Barsoom setting.

True, but I guess I'm looking for specifics, like rules for the 4 armed Green Martians of Barsoom, as opposed to the flying Green Martians of Space 1889, white apes, flyers, etc.

Just had a look at my copy. It's a mix of a few settings, Barsoom, Moorcock, not particularly 1889. The green martians are like the Barsoom ones, however they only have two arms. Wouldn't be a difficult mod however.

There's a straight-up John Carter of Mars conversion of Savage Worlds here:

I see he champions Adamant's MARS; I've picked up quite a bit through various RPGNOW/Drivethrurrpg group and charity sales, but didn't get a Barsoom impression. I best dig back in...

Now, where is that flash stick???

Very nice indeed!  However, I wish he had put it in pdf/book form.  It is tedious to chase through a website to build your own book.
