Having read that the Richard III movie starring Sir Ian McKellan was the inspiration for VBCW, I can't help wondering whether the new Coriolanus film with Ralph Fiennes in it will inspire any more wargaming scenarios.

Even if it doesn't, it still looks worth watching.

It certainly looks well worth a look in its own right.  :)

Well since I liked both Gladiator and the Last Samurai I should like this based on the screenwriter alone. It also looks pretty good judging from the trailer and has a bunch of great actors. Looks promising  :)

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

This looks like it could be a great movie in it's own right, nevermind as further fodder for the VBCW folks.

Coriolanus is one of the few Shakespeare plays I know basically nothing about, but having skimmed the Wikipedia article and seen the trailer, I think I'll make time to see it, especially if it ever hits the big screen here in Canada.

The Same here, I am looking forward to when it is made available to watch on DVD or online.

Been and gone.  Limited release.  Very good reviews.

All limitations are self imposed.  Work hard and dream big.

I tried to see it. But it was only on in a smattering of cinemas here in the UK. Criminal really, but that's the moronic nature of our society these days. X Factor is mega-entertainment, something as brilliant (according to the reviews) as this, gets shuffled off under the carpet. Still, that's the market for you...  ::)

It is reimagined, by the way, into the setting of the Yugoslav civil wars of the 1990s, so don't think it will offer much in the way of inspiration for AVBCW afficionadoes...

Roll on the DVD. Sometime quite soon i should think.

Looks like a great film. Then again I'm a little biased as I think Ralph Fiennes is one of the best actors ever.
And the mrs. is quite mad about Gerard Butler... looks like a winner...

Thanks Steve! I am just thinking it might be a great base for 2nd near future American civil war.
