primitive "troll" sculpt by me.
« on: January 04, 2012, 12:13:07 AM »
I've been really busy over Christmas sculpting away the whole break long. I've decided to space out showing the photos as so not to flood the boards too much at once. Here's a gangly fellow that I did in December.

As usual my photography is rubbish (althought the clay is slightly translucent which doesn't help matters).
100% Uro polymer clay, I don't think that I'll be using this colour again as it's especially hard to photograph (at least for me).
He's not perfect but I think I captured an awkward brutish quality in the character that I'm pleased with.
Crit welcome and as per usual he is for sale for production, please PM me or email to andrewjohnmay1983 AT googlemail DOT com.
Cheers.

Really nice! =) One tiny thing bugging me is the wrinkling below the buttocks. Makes him look a bit like he's wearing very tight pants.

Trust Phreedh to be looking at the buttocks.  Just what are we going to do with all these sex-starved Swedes?

Anyway, looks very cool to me Mr May.  The lack of ostentation is a definite plus.  Can't wait to see your other work!

Considering the subject matter, that is a BEAUTIFUL piece. He has the gangly quality that I associate with Trolls. VERY WELL DONE!

I thought he had a genetically produced pocket.
