Rolling in a new country
« on: December 30, 2011, 10:44:19 AM »
Hello,
We came here after some recommendation, miniatures lovers tell me "this is the place to be".

So we're in da place.

But in first we must choose a good place for show and explain our world .... definitively not the old west....

Our universe is a dark diesel-punk with some SF element.

We are very inspired by some great illustrators or writers, like H.R Giger, Poul Anderson, Hp lovecraft, Robert A. Heinlein, Barjavel, Asimov, Tim powers, Ray Bradbury , Jack Vance, Moebius, Pat Mills, Caza, Stefan Wul, William blake, Yukito Kishiro, Masamune Shirow, Tsutomu Nihei

Cheers

Welcome :)

Some of your miniatures are mentioned/used in the VSF and Future Wars sections, so maybe you want to check there if that suits you....

Good list of influences there, well the ones I know but then I tend not to touch Nippon culture, surprised you didn't mention Druillet.

Welcome, and nice figures!

Yes, welcome :)

Saw your minis awhile ago, very nice.
As "Steampunk" falls under "Other Adventures" I guess it would be the right place for "Dieselpunk" too ;)

Thank you guys.

Why not, is a good place probably.

Druillet, yes ! for a long time he gave me inspiration, but very Frenchie, I'm surprise "English" people know him. Lone Sloane is fabulous.

Greetings, take your coat off and sit down.  I'll put the kettle on for a brew.  You'll be here for a long time.  :D

Well I'm closer to France than London so that does help, but good art is international. I used to but Hurlant and struggle with the French because it could take up to two years for it to appear in Heavy Metal in English - luckily a lot of that is now available in complete volumes en Anglais.

Wow, love that War Bot!  :-*

http://blightwheelminiatures.vendder.com/war-bot

One of coolest robot minis I've seen.
It would be great for VSF or Weird War gaming.
