"Now get back into the pot!"

Christmas painting project, for a Wargames Guild speedbuild. Khurasan Miniatures 'Octopus God' & friend (from The Scene UK).

Still a handy size against 28mm figures too!

Great paint job!

I would never have thought of buying this model because of the smaller scale - but seeing it next to 28mm is making me think again!

Thanks for posting.

I'll tell *you* something: I had a bad oyster at New Years. That thing looks what it felt like...  :?  :)

Nice mini and piant.  But he actually only has six limbs (two arms, two legs, two wings), so really, he's a Sexapus!

How hard would it be to make this model without wings? Are they seperate and if so how big are the holes,if any,in the models back?
Oh and is it resin or metal?
Nice painting BTW.

Thanks for the kind comments.

It would be fairly easy to build without the wings, there's simply a small hole to fill for the locating pin. There are larger 'hollows' for the wings but they are textured & wouldn't need necessarily need any attention. There are 5 pieces, head, torso, arms & legs cast as one, tail & 2 'wings'. I used a large washer as a base.

It's actually made of ABS plastic or similar. I assume it was digitally sculpted. The only snag to construction is that ABS plastic is notoriously hard to glue, I ended up using 5 minute epoxy as none of the various plastic glues or superglues that I tried would hold the stuff together!
