Revell 1/72 Me262 kit... pilot by Britannia...
Painted in Tamiya (airbrush) and Vallejo for weathering and detailing. Decals are a mixture of those from the
kit and after market/spares.

i can't really post more pictures here as there would be issues over the insignia on the tail... :-X

those who want to see more can do so here... http://www.guildwargamers.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=273&t=20833
(but please be aware that the model does have a swastika on it... sorry if thats a pain!)

Terrific 262, pzf! Really like the paint job, and Jerry planes have such lovely camo jobs if you know how to hold an airbrush like you do. It's also handy that it's a jet fighter, that way you don't have solve the prop problem (static or 'spinning'), right?

As it happens I am currently doing a couple of I-16, and need to figure out how to make them props, I will probably make them as transparent plastic circles. Need to get some of those pilots too, although I do have some Liberation WWII pilots, but not enough.

Absolute amazing job, simply some of the best 1/72 aircraft models I have seen.

Honest question: Do you take commissions? I have some 1/72 Luftwaffe 46 models that could benefit from a paintjob like this!
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - https://www.adpublishing.de

Yes, it seems that the vehicles are available directly from Grubby's site, but the infantry (and pilots) are on a separate Britannia site which is linked to the Grubby one? I recently ordered two vehicles from Grubby, so I know Andrew ships promptly, but it's the communication (or the lack of it) with many of them that's a severe pain in the nether regions.

I mean, what is it with these British cottage industries that sell 20mm items? Cromwell, Grubby, Tumbling Dice etc. They just never respond to emails, it seems? Currently waiting to make an order to Tumbling Dice and Grubby, but I won't until they answer my questions. And the Tumbling Dice website is just horrible and confusing... maybe they need an extended period to recuperate from the holidays or something, but it's simply not acceptable. Phew, glad to get that off my chest! Sorry about the outburst, guys. :-X

I recently put an order in for a number of 20mm items for a US friend, 5 different 20mm manufacturers. Absolute nightmare. I hope he has enough to keep going now  ;)

apart from the fact that this thread really isn't about this...

many cottage industries are just that - part time interests that border on being hobbies for those who run them... we often have real lives that take precedence...
