Current interests: WW2 with a twist of wierd, a dash of "what if" and lots of "what the hell?"; interwar and late colonial in Africa and beyond, with plenty of artistic licence; Victorian small wars in sub-saharan Africa...

How is the hobby situation over your way?

Hobby situation? Erm... its fairly, shall we say, underdeveloped?

There are 3 or 4 local clubs (local as in in the greater Cape Town area) that play mainly Warhammer/Warmachine and 1 club that concentrates on historicals, mostly playing WW2, Napoleonics and 19th Century Colonial. A few gaming stores that sell only GW stuff, although there are some OK general hobby stores that carry scale models and figures of some use...

You can rustle up a game of Infinity, SOTR, DH, etc, but most gamers stick to their GW/PP/Battlefront comfort zones... I tend to paint and build more than I game.
