Well, I do not pretend I am good and the camera is merciless at revealing every flaw when using a zoom, but here are some minis used on the gaming table. Mini painting is a joint effort between my wife and myself. My wife as two levels of painting, gaming and display case. Here display case miniatures are truly superb and have won her many state awards and a national award. Gaming style for her is neat, well painted but far less layering/highlighting.
Me? I build models normally, so my painting of mini's is improving all the time. Different skill sets all round.
We have a mix of mini's for gaming. Reaper, Grenadier/Ral Partha (Megaminiatures and my old box o bits), Citadel and so forth. I do not discriminate.
We try and match the figure to the character, trying to source an appropriate figure if we do not have one in the stash.
On to the pics. Hope you like them.
Wife's character in Runequest 2e.
This is a BIG miniature from Reaper, fitting for one of the players Runequest 2e character, who tops seven foot and loves a greatsword.
Three Grenadier mini's painted for Runequest 2e, hence the bronze armour. yep, one of them has a pink tou-tou...long story.
Grenadier Saracen type bloke with a spearman of unknown origins
The Runequest 2e group. My character is the dwarf. My first character, a Stormbull cult barbarian called Cronke the Careless, had an unfortunate and singularly final encounter with a Wight. The only member of the party so far to be killed.
