An Old Chinese Warehouse

I was commissioned to make something for a wargamer with a lot of my Chinese buildings already in his colleciton. I decided on a decrepit looking warehouse: see what you think of it! H

I did it for $100, plus shipping and insurance. It doesn't weigh that much (being foamcore and corrugated card on a Masonite base) - H

That's good money. I wish there were more rich people wargaing in Scandinavia so I could become rich making scenery. Fiver, son of hammershield, needs money for his imperial retinue, you know.

It is nice work, Howard! Very handy building to have, too, from Hong Kong to... Lhasa, I would guess.

If you feel up to it, start making some and offering them on Ebay - you might just hit a spot in the market....

The foamcore is pretty standard in N. America -- I think that it's about 5mm thick, although it doesn't say so on the sticker. I have had some thinner stuff from an art supply house once, but this is the 'cheap and widely available' variety. H

Warehouse.

Warehouse.

I must learn to read thread titles properly.

It's very good, anyway. Nice work!

Well, I just gotta ask, do the the roofs lift off.  If so, this is really fantastic.  It would be a great place to stash the drugs.

Yes, the roofs do come off. I think that a building designed for 28mm skirmish gaming should have accessible interiors - the bigger building has a narrow loft that runs around the upper part, so that defenders can shoot out of the windows - as anyone must surely want to!

I did not include any drugs when I mailed it to its new owner. That seemed a bad idea. He can provide his own opium -- H
