Alice: Through the Airlock Glass
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:14:35 PM »
Hi guys, I recently got my grubby paws on a set of the wonderful "Expedition to Wonderland" figures and painted them up. I am not sure if I will do a full "project" on them (although I have a number of ideas and done some concept sketches of "mutant" versions of the Wonderland creatures and characters, as well as some terrain ideas which, if executed properly, would look positively surreal).

Until then, I wanted to show the figures, as they are really nice, and I would strongly suggest getting a set of the figures, even if only for the novelty factor.

The whole set (the white rabbit comes separately, but fits onto the integral base on Alice):

Alice:

Tweedledee:

Tweedledum:

The Mad Hatter:

The White Knight:

Hope you like them!

 lol

Actually, I was trying to go for a pun on "Through the Looking-Glass", and "Through the Airlock-Glass" was the closest I got (although still a bit choppy and stilted, IMHO). It's a bit easier/smoother in German, as "Alice hinter der Luftschleuse" (my title) flows similarly to "Alice hinter den Spiegeln" (the original title).

Brilliant, I love those small projects with a fixed number of figures. Making some terrain would be a blast... Chess field, hedge maze, ...

Also I want to see a miniature for the Queen of Hearts... Surely she is riding in a big tank!
