Special Assult Teams - My efforts
« on: January 14, 2012, 08:44:04 PM »
Hi, just finished painting the Special Assault Team and thought I'd post a few pics. Love the character of these mini's they'll probably be a couple of eccentric Brits fighting the Zombie apocalypse or some Gothic Horror as opposed to Victorian Sci Fi but I'm sure they'll do just fine.

There's a few more pics onmy blog and a blurb on painting them.

very nice work, Henry, like your colour choice and clean brush work. Unfortunately the pics are a bit yellow-isch, I've done some corrections with my Photopaint if you don't mind.

Thank you, much closer to the real thing, I've a new computer and can't find my photoshop disc to reinstall it. I spent last night playing around with different bulbs in my lights , quite amazing the differences.

hope you don't mind but would welcome your thoughts, I've been playing around with my lighting set up and wonder what people think, which one is better.

I used cool white CFL bulbs in my workbench light for this one.

I used some cheap LED pucks from walmart to make a light box for this picture.
I think they are both better than the first attempt but would welcome other peoples thoughts or any ideas you have about lighting. I've been looking at the lighting tents on Ebay, anyone have any experience?
Thanks
Henry

indeed! but a bit more brightness in the lightbox could help a lot to enhance the contrast, instead of doing it directly via computer. Just don't be shy, and use all the light-power you have! ;)
